Every year, measles, a viral respiratory infection that attacks the immune system, kills more children than any other vaccine-preventable disease. Those under five years of age are most at risk. And many of the children who do survive suffer permanent disabilities. Yet, measles can be prevented by a safe and highly effective vaccine that costs only 36 cents per dose.
